BS2 control of AC Synchronous Motor

Can I control the RPM of an AC synchronuous motor with the BS2 ?

    At that low power level, it is probably a 1-phase hysteresis type motor and the only control method would be by varying the frequency input to it. You might be able to get a small range of control but not likely much more than down to 50% speed.

    In small sizes, one of the DC technologies will be easier to work with.

    Any more details on what you're going to use it in?

    Thanks Tom,
    I was going to use it to rotate a small radar dish for simulation. I modified a servo for continuous rotation. It is controllable and works nicely.
