DC to DC Step Up ???
Hi all,
can someone describe what a dc to dc step up circuit is.· From what I can tell from this link, this circuit takes in a 1.1v upto 4.5V input and generates a 5V output.· Does this mean I can use real small volt batteries in that range and still get 5v out of this puppy?

thanks in advance

BUT, that does not mean you can draw several amps from the high side with only a watch battery on the input side!
As a rule of thumb: input volts x input amps = output volts x output amps x .80, your mileage may vary.
Cheers
