The animated Avatars are in GIF format, which allows animations like on web pages. These are allowed here but I will mention that some animated Avatars such as Dave’s are quite innocuous and are·not distracting·to see in a list of posts. However there are a few that can really make it difficult to read a thread as they’re distracting.··Please keep this in mind when choosing one. We did have to disallow graphical banners in the signature lines because they started becoming a problem.· I hope we don't have to do the same with Avatars.· Take care.

Got Hint; Changed Avatar. It used to be:

I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code
People say that if you play Microsoft CD's backwards, you hear satanic things, but that's nothing, because if you play them forwards, they install Windows.
I spent a minute looking at my own code by accident. I was thinking "What the heck is this guy doing?"
I used an animation program that came with Paint Shop Pro. I think it's called Animation Pro or Animation Shop. PSP was developed by JASC, Inc., and I have used it for years. Hower, I just went to the www.jasc.com website, and I was redirected to the Corel website. Apparently, Corel bought them out.
Corel has an app call Animation Shop 3 and another call Ulead GIF Animator 5 (Corel must have bought Ulead also). However, there are no free demo versions for these packages. There are probably free GIF animators available -- just try a Google search for them.
I don't know why people find animated gifs annoying. They are really cute.
