small character LCD

Any sources one have a know where I could find a character lcd that is less than 1" tall? I'm looking for somthing around 2 x 16 characters but less would be ok too. I have had virtually no luck tracking one down, it seems they are all around 1.4" tall. Any ideas?

They are pretty small but use a small ribbon cable. I believe Digikey has the mating end for these.
