I found these from Mouser. They have one end that is threaded, this end would go through a hole in the material you are mounting to and secured with a nut. The other end fits through a hole in your curcuit board and it just snaps into place. You can release the locking mechanism and get the circuit board back off again easily as well.
If 1" nylon standoffs are of any value to you, I've got a thousand or so that I inherited. Work well on circuit boards. Both ends snap into 9/64" hole.
I think what stamptrol has is what I want. I would like to find an accesory pack sort of deal with a bunch of different sizes. What I'm going to use it for is a small pivot point to move an eye in an animatronic.
