Ice Cube causes Propeller to fail (for a while)

I was testing my thermometer circuit with an ice cube when my custom board went dead. I sprayed flux remover on it with power off and it started working again. The only thing I can think of is maybe the melted water may have mixed with some solder flux under the chip and created a conducting path. This gives rise to a future rule for me. No ice cubes and clean my boards better!

    ...or use 'dry' ice!

However, that would take it down to a lower temperature than 32°F.

Regular ice will also go below freezing as long as there isn't any water. I've reached -10 Celsius (14 F) with ice cubes from my freezer. I'll calibrate at 0 C using the triple point of water. I don't have any VMSOW around, but tap water will work just fine.
