I think I saw a piece of code or thread that describes the "sub string" behavior in SPIN.· Can someone please point me to any resources

Phil Pilgrim put together a library of string functions based around a dynamic string allocation routine (here: http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=587930). He's also done a printf-like routine (here: http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=593662). There's no built-in "substring" stuff in Spin. The only built-in stuff is a string length function, a string compare function, and a byte array copy.
