wiping the memory on the Basic Stamp 2

I'm having a problem with a BASIC Stamp Homework Board: I loaded code on the board which seems to be stuck in a permanent loop, and now the board won't communicate through the USB port. Is there a way to wipe the memory on the chips? Has anybody run into this issue before?
Thanks,

Theoretically, parts on the Homework Board can break, but they're pretty robust and hard to destroy. Do you know someone else with a Homework Board that will let you try yours with their USB to serial adapter and their installed Stamp Editor?
Even though it seems like this is your problem (being caught in a loop), I assure you it is not…When you try to download a program to the BASIC Stamp Module the Editor resets the Module using the DTR line. This effectively stops the running program. It may be this pulse is not being received properly. Have you tried a fresh battery? Is any circuitry connected to the Stamp Module? If so disconnect it. Are you running on a laptop? If so, please see the troubleshooting FAQ at the bottom of our USB Driver download page at the following link. Take care.
