Wash the speaker?

Hello,

I am working thru the "What's a Microcontroller?" set and am learning a lot - while having a lot of fun!·

I noticed that when the set arrived, the piezoelectric speaker had a sticker over the top which stated, "Remove seal after washing".·

What does this "washing" refer to?· I just removed the sticker and it performed just fine when I used it.· I didn't have to do any preparation to the speaker, did I?


Sorry for what must sound like a silly question.

When components are soldered, a usually water soluble flux is used which is normally washed off the board after the soldering process. The sticker prevents the wash from getting inside the speaker.
