Basic stamp editor 2.2 or 2.5?

Hi, I just get my Boe-bot, and i need to admit Im impresed for the easy that is to program and understand how to do that thanks to the text,·the quality of the products of parallax its amazing...

Well going back to the question that come to me checking the download section on the website is: there is some really important diferences betwen the Version 2.2 of the editor and the 2.5 or i can keep installed the 2.2 until I complete the book and fell my self more familiar with the progaming and basic features on the soft...?

I think you're confusing two things. PBASIC 2.5 was introduced a few years ago and it includes a lot of expanded commands - I'd recommend using it. Note you'll need the {$PBASIC 2.5} at the top of your program to use PBASIC 2.5 commands.

The Basic Stamp Windows editior occasionally get's updated to support newer versions of Stamps. If you have one of these stamps listed here www.parallax.com/html_pages/downloads/software/pbasic_2_5.asp then you must upgrade to the latest versions of the editor or you won't be able to program your Stamp. The current version is 2.2.6. If you don't have one of these Stamps and your not having any problems with the older editor, then you can continue to use it.
