SXKey for Serial Communication
I am wondering if it is possible to use the SXKey for serial communication, other than for programming.
Specifically, I have a "full voltage" RS-232 device I need to "talk with".· I plan on getting some type of line level driver, but for some very simple testing ("proof of concept"), I was hoping to use the SXKey, because I have one, and it's that much less to work with starting out.
If this would work, which of the OSC pins would be used, or does one each get connected to the In and Out signal line?

For very simple testing you can connect directly with a short line using inverted mode (e.g., the constant for 9600 baud would be "N9600"). If you're getting data from the RS-232 device put a 22K resistor between the device and your RX pin.
I'm actually working on communication with an IP camera. I'm hoping to use the IP camera to link to a host PC via the ethernet (ultimately wireless) and do some serial communication through the camera serial port, both for allowing the SX (and/or Propeller) to communicate with the PC, as well as have the microprocessors have some control over the camera. According to the API docs for the camera, this should all work.
Totally off topic: I'm still watching for "Night of the White Pants". Make sure you let us know if they ever get a distribution deal together on that, or if there is a way we can get a DVD or something.
