Hummer with mattracks is back again at Radio Shack this year, which means you should be able to order the mattracks replacements by the pair. The vehicle with two pair is $99 now and will probably be less after Christmas if they aren't all sold.

I called Radio Shack last year and got the part number for the replacement mattrack (1 pair) and just ordered directly from my local store. They were shipped directly to my house.

Lyxmotion makes a mattracks like set w/ a balancing defferential and a chassis but it is a whooping 220.00$ without electronics.

    boe-crazy,

Jim Frye (Lynxmotion) makes quality parts and kits. Ask anyone in the Robot Community. Quality like his does not come cheaply.

I know that, but it still is a lot of money.

This is one reason I have a 2" track piece and a 3" track piece to make a mold for them so I can cut down on the cost of the tracks. Plus If I need a larger track then I can make another mold buy adding the tracks together to the size that I need and start pouring them. If you know how to make molds then this process is very easy to do and you will have an unlimited supply of track pieces at your disposal.

That is correct boe-crazy, but I need to make a mold that has at least 6 to 12 tracks in it so it does not take a long time to make series of tracks.

You could sell tracks on ebay and get rich.

Could not do that because I did not design the tracks and this would be a violation of the copyright law.
