BS1-usb not recognizing the FDTI driver. I loaded the driver and then inserted the bS1-usb and my laptop thinks the device is a microsoft point mouse or somethign to that effect.· I tried reloading the driver and reconnecting but no luck.· Any one out there have a similar issue and know of a solution?

Thanks PJ Allen, tried that no luck.· I think I'll try and figure out which driver is causing e grief and delete it form my system, either that ot maybe I'll try to see if I can use the Add New Hdwr feature.

This is related to the Serial Enumeration. Please see the following link. Even though it mentions a GPS it is the same thing. Follow the directions to correct this issue. Specifically the part about disabling the Serial Enumeration. I hope this helps. Take care.

Didn't work. my mouse goes nutty everytime I reload the drivers and plug in the BS1. I tried it on my laptop and now my home PC, same result, the USB recognizes the BS! as a mouse and then wit the mouse going crazy I cannot get in and make the change to shut off the enumerator. Is there something else I can try like a different driver?

    Hello,

It is possible to navigate to the options in the Device Manager purely using keyboard shortcuts but it would be beyond the scope of this forum to describe how to do this. When restarting the computer with the BS1-USB plugged in is it still detected as a mouse?

Hi Chris,· got it to work last night on my home pc by being faster than the USB recognition software!·I had to open device manager and have the ports open before plugging in the BS1-usb and·then quickly made the change to·shut off enumeration.· ·I also got it working this morning on my laptop by turning off both the track pointer and touch pad and then opening up device manager and the ports so I coudl quickly make the change.·· thanks for all your help.tongue.gif
