Debugger Window Problem

I don't use the debugger much, but it is very helpful when I do. When I drag a debugger window off the screen, it disappears and I can't get it back. This has happened with the main control window. I have to use the shortcuts whenever·I use the debugger. I have already tried uninstalling/reinstalling with no luck. I'm not sure what to do.

You'll have to manually delete the registry entries that save the window positions.

Specifically, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ParallaxInc\SX-Key\2.0 in regedit and delete the entire entry "Debug Window". The editor will rebuild the key on the next editor launch. I have to do this for many of the editor's windows as they randomly resize into tiny boxes that aren't usable. I wish there was a fix (as in don't even bother saving window sizes for windows that can't be resized, etc).

    RoboGeek,

How are you able to drag a window offscreen so that it disappears? On every computer I won, the mouse won't go past the edge of the screen. Because of this, there's no possible way to drag a window so far offscreen that it "disappears."

    Thanks,

    Harrison,

The next time the window resizes on you, take a screenshot and post it so I can see what it looks like.

Harrison, I tried your idea and it made it worse. Now the code listing window is gone, too.
PJ, I just drag it to the bottom of the screen and it disappears.

Hmm. That is really weird because I just tried deleting that entry and it rebuilt it. My debug and code listing windows now open in the center of the screen.

You could delete the entire registry section for sx-key, and reinstall. That should fix all of your odd setting problems. Be careful though, make sure you don't delete anything outside of the SX-Key section or else bad things can happen.

    RoboGeek,

I don't understand how dragging the window to the bottom of the screen makes it "disappear". You mean that you can see it while dragging, but as soon as you let go of the mouse buitton the window vanishes?

    Thanks,
    PeterM
