Video issues

I seem to be having some issues with composite video glimmering.
I used 1k,560,270 resistors (1.1k are hard to find locally)
following the schematic for the demo board, I've tied the outside of the RCA jack to ground, and the output of the three resistors to RCA center.
The graphics demo looks pretty good. (of course with all the motion is hard to tell)
but the text demo seems to shake a bit. Femtobasic does the same thing, (display in black with white text)
Is there a way to correct this? I've attempted to bring the 1k closer using two additional 47ohm resistors, no dice.
Thanks
