·Hello Everyone! We are a group of seniors working on a Data-Acquisition, Basic Stamp based device for a car as our senior project. We are initially using a small (HD44780 controlled) lcd module·which is controlled by the EDE702 lcd controller chip in our interface. We have to switch to a larger lcd with a different internal controller chip, the KS0066 to be exact. Does anyone know if this will have any conflict with our EDE702 lcd controller? If there is, what should we do? We greatly appreciate·any advice. Thanks a lot!

If the new LCD is HD44780 compatible there should be an issue. If you have a link to the datasheet though I would post that so we can take a look at it. Take care.

Looking at the datasheet it looks like it supports the same type of LCD displays as the HD44780…Everything about it appears at first glance to be compatible. You will simply have to try it. It shows the same interface lines and even supports the busy flag as on the Hitachi chipset. The instruction table looks the same too. Again, I would test it. Take care.
