HB-25 Motor Controller

I'm creating a remote (solar-powered) application that uses the HB-25 to power a 12-volt motor up and then down periodically through a 24-hour period. Due to power constraints, I'd like to either disable the fan on the unit, or, use my BS2 to toggle the power to the HB-25 module prior to powering the motor up.

Has anyone else encountered a similar application, and, if so, how did you go about switching the HB-25 on/off?

Thanks!

    Drm,

You could use a Relay to turn the main power to the HB-25 on/off as you need. The Relay would need to be controlled by a transistor, such as in the attached schematic. Both the Relay and the HB-25 would only consume current when powered on. I hope this helps. Take care.

I have a couple of saturn windshield wiper motors I like to use. They are inexpensive and geared to about 60rmp or so.
