Transceivers with only 1 board? and CPUcam question

I read the product details for the Transceiver package and it says "This device can be connected to a PC serial port using a MAX232 line driver. The circuit isn't supported by Parallax, but it's possible to make this connection with a few dollars of parts."
How would I do this? I only have 1 board (bs2p demo board).

Also, I have a CMUcam that i need to use for a project. The object needs to follow a path of objects. The objects do not move. Has this been done (links)? I am just looking for some basic code to get me going in the right direction.
