I don't think there is any single document that has what you want. There's a tremendous amount of information and Parallax has at least 3 major controller product lines (Stamp, SX, and Propeller) let alone their accessories, educational materials (Stamps in Class), and robotics stuff.
If you have specific questions or if you're confused after looking through some of the available documentation, feel free to ask.
Terse but vague questions lead to verbose, unfocussed, and generally useless answers. If you really need to know something by Monday, then you really need to ask a better question that includes a little more detail about what your assignment is.
I guess I should be less glib, however, after 52 years of life and my job suddenly requires that I maintain a Parallax Server and I've never heard of this product, I guess I may have overreacted a bit.
I currently do SQL and Sybase so I've worked in a .Net· and Powerbuilder environment.· I now must use the COMPASS tool as the data engine and serve it all up using ColdFusion and a Parallax Server.
I wonder if I even have the correct Parallax Forum?
"Parallax Server" - now, this forum is for the company Parallax, which·has several lines of·microcontrollers - little computers -·BASIC Stamp, Javelin Stamp, SX, Propeller; the brains for robots, sensor systems, industrial equipment, etc.· If you need a microcontroller, I can point you to free downloads of beginner-friendly books.
A server is a different animal.· I did a Google search of "Parallax Server" and I'm seeing phrases like "physical host" and·"disk space allocation" and "broadband gaming."·Then I see "deploy and maintain" from your post, and I'm thinking that you might not be talking about microcontrollers?
So, before we start talking apples and oranges, just what is the purpose of your project?
