Analog to Digital converter

I've searched around for about a hour, but can't find it.
So, here's my question: Can the propeller do Analog to Digital convertion without external ADC chips?

    Yes. Look at AN001 on the Propeller Counters here: www.parallax.com/propeller/downloads.asp. Also there are some sample programs that are installed along with the Propeller Tool that demonstrate this. It requires only a couple of capacitors and resistors attached to two I/O pins.

    I've got a Javelin Stamp, and already used that cirquit with it.
    So, the propeller is like the Javelin stamp, but with some additional functions and another language?

    And, is it true that the max voltage on I/O pins is 3.3 volt? Then I will need an extra resistor...
