What is the LED status when the cable is removed - Just wondering - sounds like a PSU 'ground' issue - are you using battery or powersupply ?

Can you give a more detailed description ..

It sounds like the BOE/BS2 are leeching power from the RS-232 lines...Perhaps your battery is low.

    Kamijin,

    RS-232 is the serial cable.
You write that you use a 7-segment LED. I'm a bit confused. What is that used for ?

Please can you reply on the question about the status of the GREEN LED when the serial cable is NOT connected ? Is it On of Off ?

    Thanks
