Example Code for LCD OPTREX DMC16230 ??

I have a surplus of OPTREX DMC16230 LCD Boards with the HD44780AA Controller.
I am just learning how to use these and have been reading the tutorial on the Parallax LCD but it has a different configuration. This LCD has 8 Data Bus lines and I resad the Parallax model only has one signal line.

I was wondering if there is any example code / wiring diagrams·out there for this model? I am using the B.O.E./BS2 to set it up.

If you want to display more than just a "data string" most of the examples fall short, except for this one·http://www.parallax.com/html_pages/robotics/machining/RPM_display.asp

My advice is to start with a serial lcd first, they are much easier to work with than parallel lcd's. It will get you up and running the quickest and this serial lcd http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=27977VC·cost less than the parallel Chris suggested.
