Quick Question About Using 12V To Power a Carrier Board

Once again, these are some novice questions...I am still learning........

I have a BS2 Homework board and I want to use a external 12V battery to power it. Can I just connect the + and - ends of my battery via wires to the 9V plug on the board?

I also have a Super Carrier Board. Do I just solder the + and - wires of the battery to the Vin and Vss points at the top left of the board? Will this create a common 12V ground with the entire circuit, if 12V pumps are also connected to the battery?

Thanks again.

Take a look at the specs for these boards and see what the input voltage range is.

12V is really at the high end of things...You would not be able to run a servo from the board but it would work for most everything else. Take care.
