Well if I was to grade Parrralax on their marketing of the HB-25 for use with their products I would feel like that guy on 'Idol' . To hook up the HB-25 to either a 'Stamp' or a 'Prop Proto Board ' requires a female to female adaptor ('try' and find that at your local hobbystore) so I bought 2 'servo extension cables' and hacked them together for the moment.
Browsing this Site I saw a LCD extension cable that 'might ' look like it would work to do the job. If they were the right 'cable' to do the job· I would have ordered them at the same time if it was mentioned· that was the way to hook the two together for communication.
Please exuse this if the cable is not ment for this and I have been mistaken.

Might work, and dirt cheap....

I guess I went about asking the question in a roundabout way. What I was saying was that if the LCD extension cable had both ends female which it looks like it does then it would seem to make a perfect cable for hooking up between the HB-25 and a prop proto board ( or other parallax product with a 3 pin servo header).
Other sites will list products that are used with the product that you are buying which makes it nice for a one stop shop.Maybe a little 'This product can use the LCD extension cable for hookup' on the HB-25 page.
What I was trying to get at was that parallax being in business to sell products lost out on that sell ( I would have bought these along with the 2 HB-25's ) because I had no idea that an LCD extension cable could be used for this purpose.
I'm happy with Parallax's products so don't get me wrong but being in business myself makes me appreciate any order I can get.

I appreciate your response. I just took a look but did not see any 'servo extension cable' listed on this site . My understanding of the servo extension cable ( which I have a few) is that it is male - female· not female - female . I went to about 3 hobby shops ( one even went online looking) and they never even heard of a female - female extension cable . Only when I was browsing here did I see the LCD extension cable. Yes I see the reference in the docs for the HB-25 stating that a standard servo extension cable can be used ( Is there a futaba p/n for a standard extension cable that has female-female ends?) .

I appreciate your feedback about our website (even more valuable to us than the·$1.29 sale we missed··.)
We do have these cables in two lengths, 10" and 14" ·Our cables are female/female and ship with a male/male 3-pin header, but they are called "LCD Extension Cables" on our website, unfortunate since they are compatible with·a variety of 3-pin devices.

I am remedying·these deficiencies·on our new website, which should be active in a few weeks. I apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this caused!

lets see what this does... KA BOOM (note to self do not cross red and black)
Actually it would have been 2X$1.29 but all kidding aside . Can you believe the servo extension cables that I did buy were about 6 bucks each ! I guess the hobby shops with their high overhead need to make some profit.
Again,I like parallax for their devotion to their customers and bringing out new stuff that is enjoyable to work with.
The HB-25 works like a charm ( have not hooked up the other one yet ) with a 12 volt automotive fan motor from a local electonics surplus store.
I look foward to the new site .
