Prop Plug vs USBSER

It seems to me that these two devices are functionally the same - they interface a USB connection from a PC to the Propeller chip.· But they are electrically different in two of the four connections on the Prop end.

So, my question is this: could I simply rewire the 4-pin connector end (or build an adapter) and effectively turn my USBSER into a full fledged Prop Plug?

Yes, this will work. The Propeller Protoboard Documention describes how the USB2SER should be wired www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=32212

Thanks for the confirmation, Forrest.· It was that Prop ProtoBoard documentation that gave me the idea since I already had the USBSER and prefer the horizontal header pins.

BTW, the Prop ProtoBoard looks like a sweet deal.· I am going to order one, especially now that they are on sale.
