BS2P Firmware REV.

How can I find out what firmware rev. is in my BS2P? Can I update it to the current version? The reason why I ask is because on the I2COUT command the manual stated that

"(BS2p firmware 1.3 or later is required to omit the Address parameter)"

If I write the code according to firmware 1.3 or later, is it backward compatible.

    In the BASIC Stamp Editor simply do an Identify (Run/Identify) and the firmware version will be displayed in the Windows next to the Device Type, Echo and Loop Back. I hope this helps. Take care.
