Please Help! Mx2125 accelerometer doesnt work

I've connected the sensor as shown in the diagram.

The x-axis is working properly, but I dont get any reading from the y-axis!
I thought it's the problem of my sensor, then I got a NEW sensor from a store!

But problem still exists! Any clue?? Please help!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the part from Parallax? Seems I had heard the pin out is not the same on others boards. You might want to check.

A common error is being one off from the diagram. In other words, instead of connecting to P6 and P7, the wires get plugged into the P5 and P6 sockets instead.

Are you using the Memsic 2125 accelerometer?

Please post the code you are using to test it.

Try grounding pin 4 also and see if that changes anything. Just a guess. I use this chip (Parallax) all the time, but have always grounded both sides.

The problem is fixed.

I have no idea why it didnt work when I plugged into pin 6, 7... But it does work when connected to pin 5, 6~ Weird... perhaps... PIN 7 is not working properly... dunno why...
