stepping a stepper

I need to drive a stepper motor for a predetermined number of steps.· The driver is no problem, but I am looking for a way to generate the step pulses.· The pulses must ramp up to about 5,000 Hz to allow the stepper to speed up from zero to full speed.· I am thinking the Pulseout command is the one for the job, in some kind of a timing loop.· But changing the frequency without jitter sounds tricky.· Am I on the right track?

I don't think the stamps will be fast enough to generate 5KHz pulses like that.
The "little step u" driver module has programmable ramp-up and ramp-down rates.

Or the SX (not BS2SX) could do it easily.

If you happen to have the professional development board, all you need is the SX-Key or SX-Blitz to program the SX chips.

Bean, Thanks.· I guess the 4,000 instructions / sec for the BS2 could have been a clue here.· I have a Little Step-U, so I'll head in that direction.
