Using Stamp/SX microcontroller to create a CAN interface
I am looking to create a simple low cost CAN (Controller Area Network) interface that I can use to add peripheral devices such as printers, LCD display to a CAN based control network.· I currently design, program and build custom mobile electronic control system for off road equipment.· The principle product I use is a proprietary microcontroller system from Sauer-Danfoss.· The system works very well for machine control applications however connecting devices that are not readily available with a CAN interface are difficult to do.·
I was curious does anyone have any experience integrating a microcontroller with a CAN chip and could reccommend any reference material that would be helpful.· I have been programming PLC's for the last 15 years but Basic Stamp controller is a new world for me that I think will be very beneficial to start learning.·
Thanks
Scott
