hey guys
·I,m trying cut the cord and use whats on hand or buy the least posible for the time being .
i have 2 usb dongle type wireless 802.11b :DSSS/g OFDM·GigaFast mini wireless USB adapters
and a self (5v 1a)/USB powered 7 port hub and a parallax ser/usb adapter .
·· I was hopeing there might be some way of rigging a wireless usb bridge . the problems i se so far are
1- the line out of the hub i,m shure will need (be expecting)·power
2- the the dongle will need power(atleast 5v 500ma) unless i can use it in 1 of the other ports ?.
··· can it communicate with the BS2 plugged into 1 of the other ports ?
3- can these things even work without a puter on both ends (i.e. drivers and software)?
what else would i need ?
what about this http://stores.channeladvisor.com/Digitalet/items/item.aspx?itemid=1212356
or this says pnp http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?A=details&kw=DLDWLG120&is=REG&Q=&O=productlist&sku=403705

ive read so much i have information overload and it would be nice keep my bot linked to adjust programming and stop it before it runs over the dogs or bird or me

Thanks for the help

Don't think you will be able to do this without quite a bit of additional hardware and software. You probably would be better off with a serial to ethernet adapter and a wired to wireless device. Take a look at www.vinculum.com/prd_vnc1l.html for more options (maybe)

well i was looking at using it as a usb bridge ,,,and a web cam ,,,laser mouse should draw map of it roaming ,,,not making them(the other devices)·talk to my micro . i was wondering since my usb hub has mini-b usb input and a normal 1 on the other end if i use amale to male adapter and splice in 5v (since my dongle needs power and the hub does too) would,nt it cross wire the in and output unless the adapter switches them around well i,m gonna do some experimenting any advice would help

USB has masters and slaves. You have a bunch of slaves without a master. You need a master!
