Video ADC (ADC08060 ?)

I'm looking for an inexpensive ADC to digitize b/w video signals.
I really only need 6-bits, but I found the ADC08060 on digikey and it's pretty reasonable ($4 each) and it's 8 bits.

Has anyone used the ADC08060 ? I'm wondering why it's so cheap.

Or can anyone recommend a video ADC that is not too expensive ?

Bean.

I'm interested in fast A/D converters too. I fixed an LG-Phillips TFT TV driver board that has a chip on it called the Sharp IR3Y29BM video processor, and I looked up the datasheet. It's a really neat chip that takes a video signal and converts it to RGB and sync pulses. With fast enough A/D converters, maybe you could connect them to the Sharp video processor and receive color video for just 3x the CPU power cost of black and white.
