OEM 2p4, USB to Serial self build module

Greetings
I have looked at the BS2 OEM kit(build and used it). I have also used the OEM IC in my own build design successfully.
Now i want to do the same with the OEM 2p40 IC. On the parallax site the BS2 kit was well laid out and displayed, but the 2p40 is not. Can some one help me with a better diagrams and parts list for this module.
I was hoping to end up with my own build board with the USB connection on board. I want to build this module myself, not buying the loss USB to Serial adapted. I don't seem to find schematics and parts list for those such as parallax USB to Serial adapter. Can someone help.
Lastly i have no experience in using IC like the SS type as found with the 2p40. Are these fine pins on the IC hand soldered or are fixing it to the PC-Board done with some special methods?

The schematic for the BS2p40 is right at the bottom of the product page. I will post a link below. You can make the integration simpler by removing all the serial components and just connecting the interpreter to the USB. There are a few things to keep in mind when doing this, but the second link is example of how this was done with the BS2 and would be similar on the BS2p40. I hope this helps. Take care.
