Ping))) sensor and 3.3V logic microcontroller?

Hey guys I want to use the parallax Ping))) sensor with a TI DSP microcontroller.·This microcontroller uses a 3.3V logic instead of 5V.· Since it's a signle signal pin I think sending the pulse will be ok, but the returning pulse from the sensor, I believe, is a 5V pulse.· According to TI, the chip will be damaged· by 5V.· Are there any suggestions for this operation?

Look in the propeller forum for answers that chip is also 3.3V

On the Propeller we use a resistor in the range 1K to 10K to handle 5V interfacing. This may or may not work on your TI part.· Take care.
