I'm not an Apple fan, but I am a fan of Apple. I have always admired their design culture.

The other day I stumbled across a link on Extralife of all places.

Now, when I have a hard time with a software or hardware project, I have a cup of coffee and read this site.
I always come away inspired and ready to tackle any problem.
No Really! It's that good.

The site is www.folklore.org/.

A few quick examples:
Nybbles
Scrooge_McDuck
Apple_II_Mouse_Card

Just thought I would share.

Perfection in design is not achieved when there is nothing left to add.
It is achieved when there is nothing left to take away.

    I told ya!

I was surprised by Steve's reaction at the end of this story: Quick, Hide In This Closet!

One of my favorites : Sound By Monday

It's cool to see I was a hardware designer in 1980 at the tender age of 8 :)
    Somebody said...

Instead, the Lisa hardware designers (Paul Baker, Bob Paratore and others) solved the problem by including a little Apple II, with its own memory and microprocessor (but clocked twice as fast), inside the Lisa to control the Twiggy drives.

Wow, 27 years experience. No wonder Parallax snapped you up. smile.gif

I was surprised by the variable motor speed on the Twiggy drive. The article does not state the extra data density achieved but it must have been allot to go through all that complexity.
