Looking for DAC

I know nothing about DAC's, but I would like to learn. I am having trouble deciding what DAC would be best for my application. I am looking for one that is capable of providing an audio output·between 20Hz to 200Hz at 0db. Now I know I could use an oscillator but I need to know what frequency is going out to the amplifier. I have no idea if I should use a 8-bit, 10-bit, 12-bit, 16-bit, ect. what should I look for. I am plaining on using the PROP to controll it. Please Help

The Prop can do DAC all by itself at the frequencies you're looking at. Look at the application note on the Propeller's counters (www.parallax.com/dl/appnt/prop/AN001-PropellerCounters-v1.0.zip). The Prop can also do DAC using what's called a ladder network of resistors (see: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resistor_Ladder). The TV and VGA outputs use a variation of this technique.
