Is Real Time data display possible with "Watch" or "Hyper-Terminal"?

I need to see a "real time" display of RPM, Head Temp·and Servo % or the Pulsout var controlling my servo to create baseline values for my program.
·
With watch it seems to only update (at full speed) with the "poll" command, but that's much too slow. With SEROUT to a terminal program (I have 4 now, Hyper-term, BS2-Debug, ProComm+, & realterm) I can print strings no problem, But I can't seem to print a string and a variable like you can on an LCD. (I've bought and had problems with 3 LCD's so far(not from parallax)) So if possible I would like to emulate the BS2 DEBUG feature with a terminal program.
·
I have tried to use "BKSP" command and it's hex & dec equivalents to clear the an area after it's been written too. I thought about writing a script for ProComm+ (but that's over my head) or possibly writing a terminal program in QB 4.5 to take in my own serial commands and emulate the debug screen.
·
If there isn't an easy solution, does the OEM version of the BS2PE program with the sx key or blitz and still use all the PE commands and BS2 IDE?

What is "much too show." ? The update rate on the screen, or the time spend when POLL sends the data to the PC ?
Even SEROUT is going to take some time to send the data.
You can use the BasicStamp Editor's DEBUG window with the serial output from the SX. You will need two serial ports though. One for the SX-Key and a different one to open in the BasicStamp Editor.
Do you want to use an LCD or a PC ?

The extra port not a problem and I've been able to print strings (but not variables) with the Debug terminal and 3 other terminal·programs. Yesterday I built the servo circuit (#26 stamp works) and used· the SX Key "Watch" to follow the 2 RC-Time values that, changed with the 10k potentiometers position. Running the program at full speed (i think) watch would only update when I pressed the "poll" button.
·
I need·a way to take "real time" measurements and read or watch·those values·on a 160cc model airplane engine (baud·or refresh times are more than quick enough), while it's running at from idle to 10,500 rpm on my test stand or my dyno, to complete an engine management system.·Any help you can give to get these "live, real time" values with either the SX-Key and it's Debug system or a Terminal would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
