What would happen if you put a 512K eeprom on the prop?· Could you address 257-512 without affecting the bootup?· What would happen with one of the new (at least in the mouser catalog) fram chips.· (Across the page from the microchip eeproms)

512K eeprom should work just fine, I believe the Hydra uses those

FRAM's should work fine, they better, I have five I just received - however I need to surface mount them on some adapters, the ones I got were SOIC (dip's were not available)

The new proto board (due out soon) has 512Kbit EEPROMs. The Hydra uses a 1024Kbit EEPROM plus one on the memory expansion card. Any addresses beyond the 1st 32K x8 are ignored by the bootloader and the Propeller Tool. FRAMs should work fine. I also have a couple that need to be mounted on adapters.

Thanks for the info.· I wasn't sure if there was some low level bit reason why the fram would or wouldn't work.
