· Does anyone know what the story is on the HB-25's and their shipping date being pushed back again, now to Jan. 11th?

Our sales of the HB-25 were so high we could no longer manufacture them intenally. We have been ironing out the final bits with having the manufactured externally, because we don't have as much control over the process as we use to, our estimates of availibilty can be a little off and require adjustment. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

    cool.gif Nice.

When I got my first one I knew they'd be a hit.

Any plans for a redesign? The HB-25 is a great little device but I can think of a few improvements I would make.

    1) Since they are made to handle >25Amps the posts are too small for a decent sized connector.

    2) The fuse is WAY too close to the Vin posts, you need to use a very small connector to decrease the chance of ground contacting the fuse terminal.

    3) The fan should have an ON/OFF switch or be temperature controlled, for low to medium current applications that's a lot of wasted watts.

The issue we had was the board copper thickness wasn't to spec, meaning it didnt make proper connection to the heat sink. Providing a faulty board in a kit wouldn't help the issue, and with the way it's done we couldn't offer much, if any, savings for providing it in kit form (not to mention the back-end cost of technical support to those people who didn't assemble it properly).

I'll convey your comments on improvements.

The HB-25 that I ordered was waiting for me when I got home this evening after work!!· I haven't had a chance to hook it up to anything yet, but I'm going to be doing that in the next hour or so.

    3 oz/ft2 or 4 mils.

    1 oz/ft2 is standard.
