BOE USB version and debugging mode

I searched but couldn't find topics on this.
Has anyone experienced·IDE problems disconnecting from the Javelin while stepping through code (debugging) with the BOE USB version board?· I have WinXP SP2 and the latest FTDI drivers from Parallax but I have reason to believe the virtual COM port driver flakes out because of heavy bi-dir traffic when debugging.
I switch to my super carrier board with conventional serial port and debugging works just fine.
Just wanted to know about other people and if fixed...
thx,
Yves

·· This may be a latency issue regarding USB port…One thing you can try to do is set the Latency Timer setting from 16 to 1. You can find information for doing this in the troubleshooting FAQ at the bottom of the following link. I hope this helps. Take care.

Thanks for the reply. I recall doing that at some point but not sure if it was for the BOE or my USB to Serial adapter (from another supplier). I will check it again on the BOE and post my results.
