Does anyone have a schematic to hook up the hydra memory expander to the Propellor education kit?
What about adding in audio and video ports?
thanks,
ACfishing

The easy way to find this information out......look at the main hydra and Parallax site and download the schematics for the Hydra....and the Propeller demo board.

    Problem solved.

The Hydra schematic has never been posted. If you want to see the schematic of the memory expansion port, it's covered in Chapter 11 of the Hydra book www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=70360

When you say "adding in audio and video ports", what do you mean? If you want to add video to the Education Kit, you just need 3 resistors and an RCA jack. Look at the schematic of the Demo Board to see how ... use any 4 pin group (0-3, 4-7, etc.) The 4th resistor is for broadcast audio. If you want to add audio, again copy the Demo Board's circuit if you want stereo. If monaural is fine, just use one channel. You can leave out the headphone amplifier if you don't need it and connect the 1uF capacitor to another RCA jack for audio output.

For both of these functions, you need to keep lead length as short as possible except for the connection to the output jack(s) which can be a couple of inches of shielded wire with the shield connected to ground
