Garmin serial input NMEA strings

I am trying to read data from my garmin legend GPS and not having any luck.· I have tried using the serial in command in the BS2 object file but I am unable to·parse the information as done with the serin command in the basic stamp language.· I have programed my bs2 to input the data using a line that looks like this "SERIN 0, 16572, [noparse][[/noparse]WAIT("GPRMB,"),WAIT(","),WAIT(","),wp1] ".· Does anyone know how this can be with the propeller in spin???

Please let me know if you figure this out as I am new to the prop. I have figured out bs2px and I have a Garmin pc18 OEM. Anything would be apprecizted. Thanks , Dsve.
