So I am about ready to add a Parallax Memsic 2125 Dual Axis Accelerometer ( http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=28017) to my newest creation and noticed that Parallax has two different wiring diagrams in different docuementation... which one is correct?

Also, the Stamps In Class calls for using resistors between the Stamp and the Memsic... are they needed?

I'm using the bottom one with pin 1 a N/C. Works great. I don't think the resistors are needed but couldn't hurt.

I think that P1 is just for sensing g-force... anyone? anyone?

There's a tutorial in the "Stamps in Class" sticky's on increasing the accuracy of your readings using the T lead. Also, as I recall, a couple of N&V articles on angle measurements. Good reading for those interested in ALL the capability of this amazing little gob of silicone.

PS: T has something to do with measuring pulsewidth for increased accuracy and accounting for variations due to temperature extremes--I think. I read the material, but haven't applied it to anything yet.

In that same sticky, there is a link to using duty cycle. That leads you here http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?p=524815

Andy Lindsay started the post/activity and then Russ Ferguson made some mods on it using some Tracy Allen math routines, then I came along and stole it all. I'm not smart enough to know/understand all the math, but it works great. I made some changes for my project, but it was cut and paste for the most part.

I can't say enough about that article. For me, it's time for a re-look and a good long study.

I just noticed that there is some newer stuff be posted also.
