Interfacing to 3 volt logic

This must have been covered in the past, but I can't find anything in the archives.

I'm trying to interface a bs2-p with a 3 VDC logic device. I'd like to know if anyone has done this, and how they've managed the translation from +5vdc to +3 vdc TTL. Parallax has done it with their 433 MHz transmitters and receivers, and this is approximately what I'm trying to accomplish.

If anyone has information on how this can be done efficiently, I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks,

M. o'doul

You may want to take a look at THIS thread over in the Propeller forum.

Thanks Gadgetman -- there's a lot of helpful stuff in that thread, and I should have thought of using an opto-isolator myself. Just the same, I'm surprised there's not a gold-standard method for this. It has to be a really common problem.

Anyway, thanks again for the reference.
