BS2 5v hookup

I will be using the 5 volts for my inputs and input it in to the vcc pin in the BS2, am I doing the right thing, the boe has two big capacitors to filter the regulated 5v do I need those caps, or not? If I do, do I just stick the same value in at the 5v,·+ of·cap to +5v and neg of cap to ground?

    those capacitors are for filtering the output voltage technically they are but it is a good ideal do put them there, and yes that would work
