wiring a stepper motor (Little Step-U)

Okay, I am new to wiring a stepping motor with the Little Step-U motor controller.· The motor that I am wiring is a 12V motor that has 5 wires (one for each coil and one for common power?)· Wiring Coil A, Coil B, Coil C, and Coil D are simple enough.· My only two points of possible confusion are 1) Do I wire the common power wire to Vm(+) since the coils are set to ground when they are to be used? and 2)· What is the BEST (or easiest) way to wire the Ct-BD and Ct-AC wires?· Is that as simple as running jumps from Coil B and Coil D?

Thanks for the help!

Vm goes to your stepper motors power source.
If it is a 12volt stepper, you can use 12volts.

As I understand it, you have four coils [What you say seems to indicate that you think you have only two]?

The A, B, C, and D go to the transistor or MOSfet that is controlled by the BasicStamp or other Microprocesor.
The transistor or MOSfet provides the path to ground.

If the sequence isn't right, it will vibrate rather than rotate. But not harm will be done
