Yes, I do have a tip.

Don't be afraid to stay simple.

The more complex the code the more fun the outcome, however if you aren't used to the sonar module keep it simple. You can get more and more complex with time.

Alman is quite right. I mounted my sonar on a servo to sweep and got bogged down in huge programing boggles.
The Toddler now stands with its sonar removed and somewhat incomplete.
Let's just say that one can over-integrate hardware and then not have the knowledge needed to make the software evolve smoothly.

Kramer, thats an excellent idea tho, if you can get it to workout with the servo, then you can sweep 360 degrees, and get a visual of everything around you, it will spend less time roaming in the wrong direction only to find another object in its way, it will spend more time efficiently moving around.

Im getting a ping))) soon to mount on my boe. Just wish i had tons of cash to get all the goods, im nearing the end of the book, and dreaming about the superprogram that contains a multitude of sensors. Thinking about what is possible.

Mutilpe seconds should be places on a second processor at you begin to have trouble with timing for the walking.
A SX-28 demo board is a good choice and can either be adapted to your first or second processor with tons of speed in SX/B.
I just was able to find a bit of space to drill to holes in to to allow it to stack with the Toddler's BS2.
