Can you use a Nintendo 64 controller with the BS2

I have a old N64 controller and I would like to use it to control my boe bot it has 3 pins the first pin is ground the second pin is data and the third pin is vcc and i have tried every thing and i can not get any data so i came here

    That's the first hit, and it contains oogles of information...

    Not that it'd help you if you're using a BS2, as the controller works at rather high speeds.
