amplify EMIC output

I have hooked up a little 8 ohm speaker to my EMIC; I'm happy with what I can do (program wise).
But, it sounds a little tinny.
How do I increase the output so her voice can be·heard "a block away".
If I could make the sound like as if I've hooked it up·my stereo system, but it needs to be
something compact and cheap.
Specifically, is there information on how to amplifiy a nice clear signal?

It is recommended to capacitively couple the output of the Emic to the Amplifier, so a capacitor should be between that input and the output of the Emic.· 1uF is a good value for such a task.· Tantalum caps work well for this.
