propellor programmer

I am thinking about buying the prop chip but I am a little low a cash so I am trying to figure out the cheapest way to get going with it. I was hoping to find a schematic to a homebrew adapter but so far I haven't been able to find one on these forums but hopefully I have overlooked it. So if anyone knows maybe you could be kind enough to post a link to it.
thanks

...although it would require you to assemble it. I used the rs232 interface shown on the Propstick schematic for a programmer interface that also will do full duplex. It may be possible to sample the max3232 part.

If you search posts in the APRIL/MAY 2006 timespan, you'll find a lot of info. This is when we were all still brewing boards. Mine ended up costing me less than the DEMO board. But, I think the education kit is probably the most effecient way to go, unless you have parts laying around. If you do, then grab a schematic and start soldering! I still exclusively use my homebrew board with complete success. You can see it at my personal gallery
One big post about them is:

That might be too much, but it should get you started. A few links might be useless to you...

then it will be able to do everything I need to program the propellor, right?
Also will this wirewrap socket fit the propellor chip?
