I did a search but found nothing about using C++ rather than basic to program a stamp .
Is there any info on this subject?

Basic stamps can only be programmed in Pbasic.
You can take a look at the javelin stamp that
is programmed in a subset of java, and that has
a language syntax close to C++

Well, I guess it would pay to read ll the documentation before posting stupid questions.
I didn't realise the Stamp has an onboard Basic interpreter.
For some reason I assumed compiled code was downloaded to it.

Clay L, You might be interested in the SX family of micros that Parallax sells and supports. Currently, there is support for assembly and a very, very cool compiled code called SX/B. There is rumor, actually it was announced, that parallax will also be supporting a C compiler for the SX family. At less than $4.00 a chip, it might be the ticket.

    Thanks for the reply.
That might be something to look at after I get through playing with the Stamp. I received a Stamp kit as a gift and am looking forward to fooling around with it for a while.
